What exactly is DYMO 91202?
It is a DYMO 91202 LetraTag plastic label cassette (part no. S0721620), 12 mm 1/2" across x 4 m (13 ft) of tape, and black printing onto yellow plastic tape. Plain English definition - It is a half-inch-long yellow-colored crystal plastic tape cassette used with LetraTag labelers.
How long and wide is the tape (size / length)?
Each cassette is 12 mm (0.5") wide and a few meters (13 feet) long—big enough to hold dozens and dozens of little labels before you need to change the tape.
Which DYMO label makers accept the 91202?
It should be compatible with the LetraTag family—e.g., LetraTag, LT-100H, LT-100T, LT-110T, QX50, XR, XM, 2000/200B, LetraTag Plus and all models with LT taking cassettes (12 mm). 91202 will fit perfectly in your LetraTag, which has 1-2" LT tapes on it.
Is the 91202 adhesive/durable/waterproof?
It is a long-lasting polyester/plastic tape that is self-adhesive and has tear and wipe-away qualities should it be applied to the inside. It can withstand smudging during normal use, but it is not a fully industrial waterproof label; for extended exposure to outdoor conditions or chemicals, use a specialized weatherproof or laminated tape.
Can I buy cheaper third-party (compatible) 91202 tapes? Are they OK?
Yes - there are hundreds of proven compatible 91202 (and multi-pack) replacements available, and they are generally fine. There may be a small difference in adhesive or print contrast between one compatible option and several others that strictly use amateur components with self-adhesive labels to ensure longer-lasting, higher-quality performance, especially in long-duration, high-temperature applications.
How do I load a 91202 cassette and fix common problems (fading, tape not feeding)?
Open the cassette cover, put the cassette inside, allowing the tape to be locked between the print head and pinch roller, press until it makes a click, keep the cover closed, and turn it on. Should labels print quietly - perhaps new batteries are used and the print head cleaned. Should the tape not feed, make sure that the cassette is reseat, wipe off jams or revisit the basic troubleshooting/ reset instructions as described in the LetraTag manual by DYMO.
