4×2 Thermal Labels, 100mm x 50mm White Direct Thermal Labels for Zebra Toshiba Printers – 500

No, you don’t need any ink, toner, or thermal ribbons. These are Direct Thermal Labels, which means the paper itself is chemically treated to react to heat. When the printhead of your Zebra or Toshiba printer applies heat, the text and barcodes appear instantly. This makes them a very cost-effective and “mess-free” solution for busy shipping and warehouse environments.

Yes, provided your printer supports a 25mm (1-inch) core. These rolls are specifically designed for popular desktop models like the Zebra GK420d, ZD420, and the Toshiba B-FV4D series. Because they have a standard 25mm core and a roll diameter suited for desktop “clamshell” printers, they are a drop-in replacement for most standard industrial and desktop labeling setups.

These labels are designed to be smudge-resistant for standard handling, which is perfect for shipping and address labels. However, because they are “Direct Thermal” paper, they are not fully waterproof. If the label is soaked or exposed to extreme moisture for long periods, the paper can degrade. For standard courier transit and indoor storage, the Grade A permanent adhesive and crisp thermal coating will keep your barcodes readable.

Direct thermal labels are ideal for short-to-medium-term use (typically up to 12 months). Because the material is heat-sensitive, the print may eventually fade if exposed to direct sunlight or high heat for many months. If you need labels for items that will sit on a shelf for years in a sunny window, you might consider “Thermal Transfer” labels; but for shipping, logistics, and inventory, these are the industry standard.

“Grade A” permanent adhesive means the labels are designed to stick and stay put. Once applied to a standard cardboard box, plastic mailer, or paper envelope, the bond becomes stronger over time. This prevents the edges from peeling during transit, ensuring your packages always reach their destination without the shipping label falling off in the courier’s van.

Absolutely. The 100mm x 50mm (4×2 inch) size is a very versatile format for barcode shipping. While 6×4 is the standard for large domestic shipping, the 4×2 size is widely used for integrated labels, secondary barcodes, box-end descriptions, and address stickers across major UK and international courier platforms. Just ensure your software template is set to the 100x50mm dimensions.
