Fanfold 4×6 direct thermal labels are 4″×6″ (102×152 mm) white direct-thermal facestock (no ink or ribbon needed) with a strong permanent adhesive. They come fanfolded in a stack of 500 labels (one stack per pack) with a perforation between each label for easy tear-off. The direct-thermal coating produces crisp black print and resists scratches, water, dirt, and grease (paper is BPA-free/RoHS-compliant). Are these direct thermal or thermal-transfer labels?

Nevertheless, make sure your printer can use fanfold or top-feed stacks (some small home printers can use only rolls). Will these labels work with my printer (Zebra, Rollo, Munbyn, iDPRT, etc.)?
Shipping-style 4x6 label fanfolds are nearly always direct thermal (heat-sensitive coating; no ribbon). The other stock is referred to as thermal-transfer (ribbon) labels, and they are applied in cases when you require greater durability or color printing. To achieve long-term heat/oil/UV resistance, in that order, you might need a thermal-transfer product or a top-coated direct-thermal product.
How do I load fanfold labels and avoid jams / misalignment?
Quick checklist: de-packaging, stretching the stack so the holes match the printer, feeding the top end into the paper path of the printer, setting the size of the label in the printer driver to 4×6, and running an auto-calibration. In case of light prints or labels skewing, clean/inspect the print head and adjust the heat slightly higher and ensure correct sensor position. Most of the sellers are accompanied by loading tips for certain models.
Will 4x6 Fanfold Thermal Labels survive shipping (water, smudges, sunlight)?
Direct-thermal prints are simple and rarely long-lasting compared to thermal-transfer: they may become darker as they get hot, discolored as they get exposed to the sun, and greasy as they touch oils. Other vendors also sell so-called waterproof or coated direct-thermal stocks that enhance durability and ensure long life (archival, out-of-doors, oily surfaces); thermal-transfer labels or a protective overlaminate are used.

Yes - 4x6 is the size of the shipping label commonly used by USPS/UPS/DHL. Configure your shipping software or printer driver to use 4×6 (101.6 × 152.4 mm); direct thermal should be selected if there is a material option, and the printer driver/gutters should be zeroed so that the barcodes will print in the middle and be readable. When the labels are not printed centrally, verify the page size in the carrier PDF and the printer scaling (to 100%).
